In early June, Affordable5G was among the organizers and features of the “5G Private Networks” workshop – in collaboration with other 5G-focused projects (FUDGE-5G5G-VINNI5G-RECORDS5GROWTH5G-CLARITY5G-SMART5G-TOURS5G-INDUCE5G-Solutions5G-VICTORIPriMO-5G) – which was part of the online programme of the fully virtual EuCNC/6G Summit.

All the 12 projects involved – all belonging to the 5G-PPP initiative’s cluster – provided a holistic view of NPNs, covering vertical use cases, operation aspects, business models, trials and emerging technologies. Affordable5G’s presentation is available, in full, here below:

Later in the same month, the project made its first comeback to physical events, with two consortium partners (Nearby Computing and i2CAT) on the floor of Mobile World Congress 2021, presenting Affordable5G to a broader audience of potential stakeholders.

In the context of MWC, Affordable5G partner Ubiwhere, also held a virtual presentation of their City Nervous System concept, which envisions cities as living organisms, generating information and reacting to such input autonomously (discover more here).
