The workshops are hosted by NGIoT and EU-Iot projects together with the European Commission + relevant associations\, networks\, projects and organisations. \nThe objective of these thematic workshops is to mobilise the community in anticipation of the upcoming Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programmes\, and to consolidate priorities from the communities of stakeholders in a roadmap for Europe (the main objective for NGIoT)\, both relating to technologies and with respect to supporting the range of relevant policies\, including the green deal. \nThe afternoon of 30 March 2021 will be dedicated to presentations and discussions in the domain of agrifood and rural smart communities. The workshop will bring together the visions on smart communities from several associations and projects: Living-in.EU\, AURORAL and dRural and the more sectoral aspects DEMETER\, ATLAS\, IoF2020 and SmartAgriHubs. \nThe economy of rural smart communities in Europe is a key focus area for the European Commission\, both short-term in securing equal access to connectivity and services and as part of the long-term vision for rural areas. As the pandemic has shown\, the rural areas are surging in popularity for both short- and long-term relocation. At the same time\, rural areas are linked to urban areas\, through people\, economy\, territory – and food. \n \nfor more information and registration\, click here. In this context\, the ATI project investigated the performance of the EU and its industries in sixteen advanced technologies and compared it to the one of its international competitors such as the USA and China. This policy webinar (organised within the EU Industry Week 2021) will discuss the results of the most recent analysis. \n \nFor more information and registration: https://ati.ec.europa.eu/events/monitoring-advanced-technologies-european-countries-global-competitive-landscape URL:https://www.affordable5g.eu/event/monitoring-advanced-technologies-european-countries-in-the-global-competitive-landscape/ LOCATION:Online ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:https://www.affordable5g.eu/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/ATIEvent3103.png END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Brussels:20210421T100000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Brussels:20210421T123000 DTSTAMP:20240626T094908 CREATED:20220728T130220Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220728T130220Z UID:1432-1618999200-1619008200@3.255.212.150 SUMMARY:Monitoring the uptake of Advanced Technologies for effective Industry 4.0 policies DESCRIPTION:Advanced technologies are currently fueling the so-called “fourth industrial revolution”\, with the potential of transforming EU industries and creating enormous growth of the European economy. In response to the challenges related to this continuous transformation\, most of the EU governments have made Industry 4.0 a priority adopting large-scale policies to increase productivity and competitiveness and improve the high-tech skills of their workforce. \nIn this context\, the Advanced Technologies for Industry (ATI) project provides a systematic monitoring of technological trends and data on advanced technologies to properly support the implementation of policies and initiatives and finally promote a competitive European industry. \nThis event has two main objectives: \n\nto present some interesting tools monitoring advanced technologies’ trends and developments such us the Data dashboard and Technology Watch reports on AI and IoT which can represent a valuable source of information when planning and implementing I4.0 policies at national level;\n\n\nto discuss how to better monitor technology uptake across EU sectors giving voice to Industry 4.0 platforms and to share and exchange experiences in order to benefit from ATI in a practical way\, for example through the definition of joint projects or the formulation of questions to policy makers.\nThe event is addressed primarily to Industry 4.0 platforms\, but all interested stakeholders are welcome to join.\n\n \nFor more information and registration: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/ATIMakeitworkIndustry40 \n  URL:https://www.affordable5g.eu/event/monitoring-the-uptake-of-advanced-technologies-for-effective-industry-4-0-policies/ LOCATION:Online ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.affordable5g.eu/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Industry4.0_event.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Brussels:20210422T093000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Brussels:20210422T163000 DTSTAMP:20240626T094908 CREATED:20220728T130218Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220728T130218Z UID:1431-1619083800-1619109000@3.255.212.150 SUMMARY:Next-Generation IoT and Edge Computing Strategy Forum DESCRIPTION:The virtual Next-Generation IoT and Edge Computing Strategy Forum aims at gathering top technology experts from across several digital and vertical domains\, as well as corporate-strategy level representatives to exchange views on priorities\, challenges and opportunities\, and establish a commonly shared strategic European vision for the next-generation IoT and (far) edge computing. With its medium-term time perspective\, this initiative is part of the implementation of the European data and cloud strategy\, and will be supported by a research and innovation theme on Cloud-to-Edge-to-IoT under the first Work Programme of Horizon Europe. \n \nFor more information and registration: https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/events/next-generation-iot-and-edge-computing-strategy-forum URL:https://www.affordable5g.eu/event/next-generation-iot-and-edge-computing-strategy-forum/ LOCATION:Online ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.affordable5g.eu/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/ngiot_edge_strat_for_81269.jpeg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20210426 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20210501 DTSTAMP:20240626T094908 CREATED:20220728T130237Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220728T130237Z UID:1437-1619395200-1619827199@3.255.212.150 SUMMARY:ETSI IoT Week 2021 DESCRIPTION:ETSI IoT Week 2021: Facing the challenges \nThis year’s edition will focus on the major IoT standards achievements that further support the digitalization of society\, businesses\, and multiple Industries across numerous vertical sectors.
