Over 61.000 total attendees took part at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 in Barcelona (Spain) to hear and showcase the latest advancements in 5G and mobile technologies.
According to the GSMA, this is the mobile momentum: 5G connections will surpass 1 billion in 2022 and 2 billion by 2025. By the end of 2025, 5G will account for over a fifth of total mobile connections, and more than two in five people globally will live within reach of a 5G network.
To this end, the Affordable5G project is at work to roll out a high-tech and affordable 5G network to every corner. Read more about our vision and objectives.
Several of our partners joined this leading initiative and met face-to-face with key stakeholders form the mobile and tech industries. Atos, Accelleran, Athonet, Cellnex, Nearby Computing, and RunEL were present on the exhibition floor to showcase Affordable5G demos, results and next steps.
