Affordable5G’s partners held the last project presentations during the first day of the conference (29 November), which took place in Athens.

The presentations were part of the programme of InfoCom’s Science Session‘s research-oriented workshop: “Research Projects for creating the Future and Innovative Telecoms Market”. The first of our partners to take the stage was George Kontopoulos from 8Bells – as part of Session 5 of the workshop, dedicated to “5G Core Technologies for Innovation and Connected Automated Mobility (CAM)”- who introduced Affordable5G’s scope to an audience of over 50 people (in-person and via online stream), expanding then on produced innovations and new Open RAN ecosystem (The presentation is available in the dedicated section of this website).

8Bells’ slot was followed by Ioannis Neokosmidis from partner inCITES, who held a presentation revolving around “Factors affecting the market adoption and evolution of Private 5G Networks: The Affordable5G case”, featuring an extensive investigation to assess the factors that will facilitate the market adoption of the innovations developed within the project.
