On the 20th of October 2022, Affordable5G conducted an in-person dissemination workshop on the premises of project partner National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) at the Evripos Campus, Psaxna, Dirfies Messapies, Greece. Here below, a brief report on the event:
After an introductory speech of Prof. Panagiotis Trakadas (Technical Manager of Affordable5G and Associate Professor in the Department of Port Management and Shipping), who outlined the project’s key pillars and technical novelties, all of the project outcomes were discussed within five thematic sessions (click on each session title to read/download the slides presented):

Students from the Departments of Port Management and Shipping and Digital Industry Technologies of NKUA were invited, resulting in a remarkable and significant engagement opportunity, as the outcomes of Affordable5G are directly related to various applications in the scientific areas of 5G private deployments in smart ports, Industry 4.0 applications and other connected topics/sectors.
The workshop counted 100 students attending, getting the opportunity to be informed on all key technical points of Affordable5G and discuss the aforementioned related applications – Certificates of attendance were issued to all students present to the sessions.
